 Duff Sigurdson way back when - 1976 or 77? Suffield Alberta 1 PPCLI C Coy 8 Platoon Duffrey is a writer and media relations specialist. In the past 5 years he has worked closely with RADM Stuart F. Platt on several scholarly works and two books. Prior to his work with RADM Platt, Duffrey wrote several feature articles in sailing magazines and on sailing websites, describing his experiences in the Fastnet Race and other events in Europe as well as more local sailing events such as the Van-Isle 360 Yacht Race. He also reported on and was the media relations specialist for his teams efforts to enter THE RACE, a global sailboat race featuring giant catamarans and trimarans. Duffrey has also worked as a stringer for a news wire service in Thailand, as a fisherman in the North of Australia, he has worked in the neighborhood of 20 ski seasons around the globe and his many interests include his family and children, offshore sailing, aviation and history amongst others. Duffrey is a former member of the PPCLI, an elite Infantry Regiment in the Canadian military. His current project is a book on the Canadian soldiers serving in Afghanistan.
